In Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools, every child’s journey is unique. Many pupils face significant challenges in regulating their emotions, communicating their needs, and feeling safe in their environment.

One thing Kayden loves is football. During therapy sessions, he would find ways to incorporate the sport, often making footballs out of scrunched paper and tape. Frequently, he would kick the makeshift ball at the therapist, not to hurt her, but seemingly to startle her.

When we think of music, we often think of rhythm, melody, and lyrics that move us. But for one young girl with Profound and Multiple Learning Disability (PMLD), music became far more than this — it became her voice.
